Scholarships & Bursaries

The Community Forest is proud to contribute funds toward bursaries and scholarships for students pursuing post-secondary education. LNTCFS recognizes the importance of furthering education and aims to support passionate youth in achieving their career goals.

Each year, our Board of Directors determines the allocation of funds for the scholarships and bursaries program. Following this, Barriere Secondary School decides how to distribute these funds among local youth, ensuring that support reaches those who need it most.

To date, we have awarded over $320,000 in scholarships and bursaries to local youth since 2012.

The LNTCFS Board of Directors has decided to allocate 50,000$ to the Grad Class of 2025. This will also be the first year that the Barriere Secondary School disburse the $10,000 Gai Conan Award from the aforementioned amount.

This top award will be given to a student with high academic merit and demonstrated community involvement.
