The Lower North Thompson Community Forest provides funds to organize and conduct forest education and awareness field trips. On the trips, community residents are taught about the forest ecosystem in our local area and also different skills that are utilized in the forestry industry.
In addition to field trips, the Community Forest also contributes money towards bursaries and scholarships for students in Barriere who wish to pursue post-secondary education. LNTCFS understands the importance of furthering education, and hopes to help passionate individuals reach their goals.
